Some individuals or groups focus on one particular breed, while others accept all breeds or mixed breed animals. Nearly all purebred animals have rescue groups. This is a virtual shelter for bully breeds. Pictures and a description of each dog are given. PBRC volunteers, who relay their thoughts on the application to the shelter or rescue group listing the dog, screen all potential applicants. |
Indy Homes for Huskies
This web site features Huskies, Malamutes, and mixes from all over Indiana. Some dogs are in foster homes and some are in shelters or with rescue groups. Often times, they take dogs out of kill shelters and place them in foster homes until a permanent home can be found. |

The Animal House is located in Barrington Hills, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It is a no-kill sanctuary for all animals. The majority of their animals are out of shelters; however, they will take animals from individuals. All animals are altered, vaccinated, heartworm-tested, and microchipped before adoption. |
